A police beat was inaugurated at Birauta Chowk under the "Police in Every Neighbourhood, Safe Society" programme, a collaboration between Nepal Police, the local government and Hotel Representative Society, Pokhara.
The beat was established through the initiative of the Society, Ward No. 17 and Baidam Police.
The Society deposited Rs 77,777 into the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund and arranged free accommodation for families searching for missing relatives.
